Romans Skiba (Latvian: Romāns Skiba, Роман Скиба; born January 12, 1987)[1] is a Latvian-Russian Light Heavyweight mixed martial artist. He made his MMA debut in 2007 at POS - Planet of Sport 6 against Dimitry Shipulin.[2] In this fight Romans lost by Submission (Armbar) to Latvian athlete Dimitry Shipulin. Romans Skiba competed in WFCA, BoP and many others European MMA promotions. He is famous for fighting Finnish MMA star Marcus Vanttinen[3] and Lithuanian mixed martial artist Tomas Pakutinskas.[4]

Romans began training in mixed martial arts in 2006, when he joined the K-Sport team. His mixed martial arts debut was at June 16, 2007 against Dimitry Shipulin. Skiba trains in his hometown Liepāja at K-Sport gym with Latvian kickboxer Kristaps Zile. Romans Skiba works as MMA coach in the gym.[5]
Skiba's last fight was against Mihails Levickis.[6] After short stand-up performance Skiba take-down Levickis and started raining punches. Levickis was unable to protect himself and referee stopped the fight. That was his third win via (T)KO.
